Leadership Week

The week of February 14th was OLCE’s Spring Leadership Week!

During the week, students stopped by our tabling events in the EUC, joined a workshop, and/or attended a dialogue with fellow Spartan leaders!  The theme for this Leadership Week was board games!

Spring 2022 Leadership Week Event

  • Monday, February 14th- Candyland
    • Tabling Event Name: “Leaderland”
    • Event Description: Explore your leadership through an interactive board where you can post responses and opinions about all things leadership.
    • Where? EUC Commons
    • Time? 11am to 1pm
  • Tuesday, February 15th- UNO
    • Tabling Event Name: “Draw 5”
    • Event Description: Come spin the wheel to win prizes! 
    • Where? EUC Commons
    • Time? 12pm to 2pm
  • Tuesday, February 15th
    • Workshop Event Name: NAVIGATING YOUR NETWORK: How To Leverage and Strengthen Personal and Professional Relationships
    • Event Description: Participants will design a “network map” that visualizes connections to identify key players in their networks and begin the process of building stronger relationships within their various spheres of influence!

  • Wednesday, February 16th- Life
    • Tabling Event Name: Visualizing Leadership: Bringing Leadership to Life
    • Event Description: Use your creativity to define what being a change-maker means to you!
    • Where? EUC Commons
    • Time? 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Thursday, February 17th- Monopoly
    • Event Name: Telling Your Story: Interview Skills & Highlighting Experiences
    • Event Description: An opportunity for leadership week participants to learn the ins and outs of interviewing and get hands on experience on how to answer questions that can propel them into their future career. This event is facilitated by the Career and Professional Development Office.

    • Time? 2:00pm-3:00pm
  • Friday, February 18th- Connect 4
    • Event Name: Student Leaders in Dialogue
    • Event Description: Spartans lead and serve in a variety of ways. During this keynote event, participants will have the opportunity to hear from 4 fellow students about their leadership experiences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions during the Q&A portion. The audio from this event will be used in a future episode of our OLCE Leadership Speaker Series Podcast!
