Empty Bowls

Empty Bowls is an interdepartmental educational program that takes a stand against local hunger. Students, staff, and faculty painted ceramic bowls as one of our activities during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week last November. Now, all of those beautiful creations have been fired and are ready to sell! The Empty Bowls Sale will be Tuesday, February 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in EUC Azalea. Bowls will be $5 each, and there will be a raffle for some of the more artistic designs! These would make great gifts or unique statement pieces in your home. Make sure to stop by and check out our selection! For more information, contact OLCE at lead@uncg.edu.

UNCG’s Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (H+HAW) is an annual week of events that takes place the last full week before Thanksgiving, with all events geared to raise awareness of hunger and homelessness on a local and national level. During this week, we will be painting Empty Bowls to sell as a fundraiser for Spartan Open Pantry in the Spring! Click here to learn more about H+HAW.
